English Country Dancing

It is always interesting to learn more about the bygone days and about the everyday life of our ancestors.  Of all the historical arts that I have researched, one of my favorites is the old time dancing dating back to the eighteenth century up through the Civil War.   With so much pointless amusement out there, the old dances are a wonderful way to have good old fashioned fun!  Recently, I completed an instructional documentary that combines the beauty of the Civil War/Victorian era dances with my love for history.  This 30 minute film covers 6 period dances complete with step-by-step instructions, dance excerpts, and historical information on etiquette and customs of the day.  For pictures of the production process and screen shots of the finished product, visit the following link or check out my website at  www.repairingthebreachmedia.wordpress.com

This is the beginning of the release for plans on the movie "Plan B"! It is my first feature film that is due for release in summer of 2012! we are still in the writing and costuse design right now. We hope to begin costume production here in the next month, or two. We will be releaseing the cast soon two...

On another note Jacob and Ryan Nichols ,are two guys that make up my anchors of actors, and on there way home last night 9/27/11 were in a severe accident with a drunk driver. All though there were no sever injuries the impact totaled Jacob's car, and did cause minor injuries. The ofending driver was arrested (yes!) ,and there are witnesses to the fact that it was not Jacobs fault, but if you guys out there could pray for these two guys that are to me... not only some of the best actors I know ,but are also some of my best friends.

Hollywood Update!

This is the first of a hopeful many Hollywood Updates! that will come from this blog. Today's update is on the upcoming movie "Courageous" from the creators of "Facing the Giants", "Flywheel", and "Fireproof". Its premiering in most theaters here in Alabama so I would think that it will be playing in most of the country as well. However,  this film is on the police force so unlike there former PG ratings for their other films, this film is rated PG-13 for violence, and drug and alchol content. Therefore,  please use discretion when you are planning attendance for your family. The premier date is September 30th which is like 6 days, 10 hours, and 20 mins from right now..... (I'm kinda excited) if you live in the Huntsville area and would like to attend, the Monaco Pictures theater is AMAZING, but a little on the expensive side ($9.25 for a night showing). If you prefer to spend the money driving the "Hollywood 18" in Decatur is a great theater with more affordable ticket prices. For more information on "Courageous" you can go to courageousthemovie.com. This site contains ticketing options, pictures and videos from production, and even a portion of the opening scene!

I forgot to highlight a very important point on the "Courageous" premier... Tickets at Monaco arent up for sale until Wednesday afrernoon, and im not sure about the Hollywood 18.
